Chris Barner is a Managing Director at NorthWind Partners leading projects and teams across the Aerospace, Defense, Government Services & IT, Healthcare, Space, and Technology sectors. As the Head of Delivery for NorthWind, he is also responsible for the oversight, mentorship, and training of all Associates & Senior Associates within the firm. With a wealth of experience, Chris has provided unwavering support to clients spanning various industries, cultivating robust relationships on both the talent and organizational fronts.

Prior to joining NorthWind Partners, Chris served as a Practice Leader for Amazon’s in-house Executive Search team, where he was responsible for owning and executing executive level searches across all Amazon business units, with a specific focus on technology, operations, and product leaders for Worldwide Operations and Customer Service.

Earlier in his career, Chris served as a corporate instructor and educator in Japan working with companies such as Mitsubishi Motors and Nitto Denko Corporation. During his time working and living abroad, he immersed himself in a new social and business culture further developing leadership, team building, and negotiating skills. Chris’ years of international experience have resulted in strong cross-cultural communication and collaborative abilities and made him uniquely qualified to be a trusted advisor for high impact human capital solutions.

Chris holds a bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.
