Hunter Murray retired from NorthWind in 2023 after helping start the firm in 2006. He spent 17 years leading the Technology & Services practice, organizing & building high-performing leadership teams & boards, and acting as a trusted advisor to clients while sharing their stories in the market.
With his broad experience in both commercial and public sectors, clients often called upon Hunter to bridge the gap between these two markets. He completed hundreds of executive search assignments for public, private, and private equity-sponsored companies.
His perspective as an investor also enabled him to closely relate and align with the GP and CEO objectives to achieve optimal outcomes. Earlier in his career, Hunter co-founded a VC-funded search firm focused on building senior leadership teams for technology product and services companies.
Hunter serves on the board for BEE World, an organization focused on equipping and training pastors and leaders globally. Hunter & his family live in Franklin, TN and are involved with organizations focused on helping families and children thrive. He enjoys adventure, fly fishing, snow skiing, and traveling with his family.
