Jonathan Rice
Managing Director, Private Equity & Alternative Assets Lead
Jonathan Rice is an experienced executive recruiter and engagement lead at NorthWind overseeing full life-cycle projects and teams across healthcare, technology, business services, government, aerospace & defense, and industrials. Jonathan provides expertise across all facets of executive search to include project due diligence, recruiting, negotiation, client management, and business development. Jonathan partners with a diverse client-base and endeavors to build and develop effective leadership teams at the board, C-suite, and senior executive levels.
Prior to his career in executive search, Jonathan spent 16 years in Higher Education, serving at Florida State University, Virginia Tech, and Georgetown University. As a hiring manager at Georgetown, Jonathan was responsible for recruiting, training, and management of a team of up to 27 direct reports. In this role he was awarded the Excellence in Service Award from the American College Professional Association in 2017. Jonathan was also the Chair of the Mental Health Advisory Board for Georgetown, a collaboration of University administrators and students responsible for reforming mental health policies and procedures for the University, under the oversight of the Vice President for Student Affairs.
Earlier in his career, Jonathan served as a Director for Chi Alpha Campus Ministries with a focus on developing student leaders and pioneering chapters in turnaround situations. At Georgetown, Jonathan started with six students and grew the chapter to the largest Protestant Ministry at Georgetown, with over 100 students actively involved in 17 different student led groups, meeting six nights a week.
In his spare time, Jonathan loves running, coffee, reading fiction, and is a self-proclaimed TV snob. Jonathan lives with his wife, Jenny, and their 10-year-old daughter in Mt. Pleasant in Washington, D.C.
Jonathan holds a bachelor’s degree from Evangel University, and a MS in Human Services Counseling from Southwestern Assemblies of God University.
