Chugach Government Solutions, or CGS, has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of Ken Ackerman as vice president of human resources and Isaac Fawehinmi as vice president, controller.
Virginia Robinson, interim president of CGS, said in a statement Tuesday that Ackerman and Fawehinmi bring to the company “a strong combination of strategic insight, technical expertise and leadership.”
“As we continue to grow and build on our legacy of service, their leadership will be instrumental in supporting our customers, employees, and shareholders,” Robinson added.
Who is Ken Ackerman?
Ackerman is an HR expert with extensive experience serving in leadership roles across major government and defense companies.
Before joining CGS, he briefly led as executive director of HR at V2X, where he oversaw 16,000 employees and partners. He also held the roles of senior director of HR at VSE Corp. and a senior HR manager at Booz Allen Hamilton.
For over three years, he was at Northrop Grumman, where he served as a senior HR business partner and then HR manager.
Earlier in his career, he worked in HR at Lockheed Martin for over six years.
Ackerman’s resume also includes positions at Rummel, Klepper & Kahl; Legg Mason, The Baltimore Sun, Symphony Health and Johns Hopkins University Center of Communication Programs.
The HR expert has a bachelor’s degree in business economics from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and a master of business administration and management from Loyola University Maryland.
Isaac Fawehinmi’s Professional Background
Meanwhile, Fawehinmi is a corporate finance and accounting executive. Before CGS, he was the vice president of accounting and finance at the All Native Group, The Federal Services Division of Ho-Chunk Inc. In the role, he was responsible for strategic pricing, financial planning and system optimization.
He also served as director of corporate accounting at USA Millwork, director of accounting at Sev1Tech, accounting manager at DTI Management and controller at McDonough Bolyard Peck.
Fawehinmi started his career as an accounting manager for immixGroup, a role he held for over eight years.
He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Wesley College, Delaware.
