Chugach Government Solutions has appointed seasoned operations executive Laine Klein as president, effective Aug. 4. In her new role, she will lead the company’s federal government contracting operations, encompassing facilities management, technology, construction and education services worldwide.
Klein succeeds Virginia Robinson, who will continue to serve as a key member of CGS’s executive leadership team in an expanded role as CGS chief administrative officer in addition to performing the chief legal officer duties.
Who Is Laine Klein?
Klein has over 20 years of experience in the government contracting sector, with a focus on leading high-performing teams, driving strategic growth and delivering mission-critical support across the defense and intelligence sectors.
Before joining CGS, she spent nearly 13 years at Amentum serving in various leadership roles, most recently as senior vice president of strategy and growth for the intelligence and cyber group. In the said role, she was responsible for transforming a $1.8 billion portfolio of intelligence and Department of Defense business into a growth engine. Klein also supported the execution of the short- and long-term strategy for the intelligence and cyber group and provided strategic direction to the capture, business development and proposal teams to help them develop multibillion-dollar bids, according to her LinkedIn profile.
The executive also previously served as capture executive for geospatial systems at General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, which is now part of GD’s mission systems business unit.
“In our search for a new President, we sought a leader with the vision and capability to grow and diversify our government solutions business line,” said Chugach CEO Jonathan Dalrymple. “Laine’s track record in building and scaling customer-centric businesses and deep understanding of both our industry and our customers’ most critical missions make her an ideal leader to navigate Chugach’s next chapter.”
According to Chugach Alaska Corp.’s Chief Operating Officer Peter Andersen, Klein’s leadership will help advance the CGS portfolio, unify employees and strengthen partnerships across key sectors.
“I am honored to join Chugach Government Solutions and be part of an organization known for its integrity, customer-focused mission, and shareholder impact,” said Klein. “I look forward to working hand-in-hand with our 4,000 employees to deliver exceptional results to our customers, and to carry forward the Chugach values that guide everything we do.”
CGS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chugach Alaska Corp.
